The Muncie Childrens Museum is located Muncie, Indiana and originally opened its doors in 1977, due to the efforst of the philanthropic sorority Kappa, Kappa, Kappa, Inc . This museum differs from the traditional stereotype of the museum as a place where you look but don't touch; allowing children to enjoy and interactive educational experience. Field trips are encouraged, and through the month of October, the museum offers a haunted house. Teachers can contact the Museum through their website or through the phone to set up a specialized field trip. Specialized field trips include Native American History, fire safety, biology, animals and reptiles, and much more.
